Portable Appliance Testing
Portable Appliance Testing or PAT testing, is an electrical test which must be carried out on any piece of electrically equipment which is not fixed.
This test is a preventative test which reduces the risk of future failure as well as reducing the likelihood of the equipment causing a fire or personal injury.
The electricity at work regulations 1989 require that any portable electrical equipment that has a potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe condition.
Beacon International have a number of trained and competent engineers who can test and certify your electrical equipment using one of our PAT testing machines.
It is recommended that you carry out regular visual inspections of your electrical equipment to spot split power cables or general wear and tear.
